As we end week two for this ride challenge to help fight kids' cancer, we find cooler and wetter weather coming to my part of the country. So rides are now less predictable, and as such, I was only able to get a single ride in. The good news is my team is doing well with their rides and together we have managed to ride 190 miles. More importantly, so far we've collected $1435 for the Great Cycle Challenge.
I can still use your help in this charity as I'm only half way through in reaching my goal for donations. If you wish to donate and help me raise funds for children's cancer research, please visit my Great Cycle Challenge page and consider contributing to this worthy charity.
The Great Cycle Challenge started in 2015, and after just 5 years, the event has grown to become one of the biggest cycling events in the United States. In 5 years, their community of riders from all 50 states has ridden a total of 18,831,310 miles, and together they've raised close to $25 million in support of research to develop better treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Ride 3 - Sep 13, 2020 - 25.9 Miles (Total: 70.5 Miles)
Under normal circumstances, I would say there was nothing too special about this ride except for some very beautiful weather to experience along the route. But this wasn't a normal challenge ride as I was able to enjoy the company of four office mates while we navigated ourselves around Sioux Falls. Great weather, great company, no rider issues, and no bike issues...and another 26 miles to add to my bike challenge.
